We have settled on a few tools that we are going to use exclusively in the future: Working with us also means to learn some of those tools:

  • C++. As the main programming language for computational intensive components.
  • Ruby. As the main programming language for everything else.
  • R. As the programming language for statistical analysis.
  • Git. As the control versioning system.
  • Postgresql. A fine DMBS.
  • Cmake. A build tool.
  • VirtualBox OSE. A virtualization software package.
